You step into Honest Al's Spaceship Emporium. A jovial, but slightly slimey, individual steps up and shakes your hand. "Welcome to Honest Al's, I am Honest Al. What kid of ship are you looking for today." After a slight pause that doesn't give you enough time to answer, he continues. "I know, you look like someone that needs a reliable transport for hauling goods from one port to another. And I have just the thing for you over here."
He points to a older looking vessel, that looks freshly painted. "This is the Freetrader. She is an elementary interstellar merchant ship plying the space lanes carrying cargo and passengers. Tramp traders of theis sort often used by adventuring groups and small mercenary bands, especially if they have been retrofitted with turrets and weaponry. I can garuntee that she will fit your needs perfectly."
This is our second ship for the Traveller roleplaying system is the ubiquitous Free Trader, Type A. This ship was designed on the blueprints from the Mongoose Traveller book for the Free Trader, Type A. This ship has 1" grid lines to work with most miniatures in the 1", 25mm and 28mm scales. The ship is broken into two peices that fit together for easier transport and storage. They are made of 1/8" thick wood.
The Free trader measures 29" long by 16" wide (73 cm x 41 cm). It comes with the upper deck seen in the picture.
